New at the Bakken
At the Danish amusement park Bakken – one of the oldest of its kind with a 400-year old tradition – there will be two new rides from Anni & Oscar Pettersson in March.
Jungle Ride is one of the popular Wickieboat rides by Mack that has been customised and themed by the Immenstaadt-based Art Studio Stritze. The Art Studio was also responsible for water technology and controls. The six boats move around the centre and enable interactive driving amusement.
The children use water-squirting bananas to aim at the elephant’s melons. At a certain water level they are "shot back at", i.e. the elephant, monkey and snake squirt back. At the end of each ride, the water collectors are automatically emptied and the game can start over.
The second new attraction is actually a complete renovation. A small dark kiddie ride that is over 40 years old (Schwarzkopf/Ihle) and was already overhauled in cooperation with Nick Farmer about 8 years ago, has now been completely renovated in cooperation with Mack. Safari Ride, the name of the new attraction, has received a completely new track system, new controls, and new two-seat vehicles.
