2,000,000th rider on Super Splash:

Christina Obergföll is Vice-World Champion and
European Record Holder at Throwing the Javelin


The presently most successful product of MACK Rides – the Super Splash – is creating big waves of emotions not only among Families. The Vice-World Champion of the discipline throwing the javelin – Christina Obergföll - returned home from the Athletics World Championship in Helsinki and tried out Europa-Park’s latest ride “Atlantica SuperSplash”.

The 23-year old was screaming loud and threw up her arms as the water shot high into the air on both sides of the boat. Her screams only were louder when her javelin reached the outstanding distance of 70.03m and brought her the European Record. At Europa-Park, Christina Obergföll has been already the 2,000,000 rider of the park’s latest ride 'ATLANTICA'.

I would like to thank all people that have followed the games on TV and supported me”, says Christina and smiles all over the face while giving relentlessly autographs to Europa-Park visitors in the Portoguese part of the park after her ride on the new water coaster.

Third Super Splash sold for 2006

The interest in the Super-Splash ride is big – not only from visitors. Many owners of amusement parks came – just like Christina Obergföll – to experience the ride first hand at Europa-Park. The very first ride of this type went to “Tusenfryd” in Olso (http://www.tusenfryd.no). After Europa-Park now the theme park 'Plopsaland' (http://www.plopsaland.be) in Belgium – based on a popular children’s TV series – will receive the third edition of the massive water attraction for 2006 and has developped togeather with the creative team of MACK Rides something totally unique: the boats are raised into the sky via an indoor vertical lift which spins the boats around their own axis while going upwards! The very detailed setting all around a Pirates habour theme will surely make the new ride becoming a visitors’ favourite at Plopsaland. The park is already home of a large MACK Rides log flume, a big Powered Coaster and a family round ride.
